Your data & privacy

  • Where is my data stored?

By default Luci is local only: everything you write stays on your own device and never leaves it, and your entries are included in your phone's own backup. If you want to use Luci on more than one device, you can turn on optional online sync. Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Either way, your data is never sold, never shared, and never used to train models.

  • Can I export my data for my therapist?

Exporting data for therapy can be extremely useful, especially when you have long-term mental health data. You can show your therapist the app during your session, or export your data by tapping the export button on the Home tab within the Luci App (top right). Select PDF as your export format.

  • Can I import my journal from another app?

Yes, you can import your journal from Pixels and Daylio. First, export your data from within Pixels or Daylio. Then, in Luci, go to Settings > Data and tap Import from another app. Select the backup file you just exported to get started.
